RE

In RE lessons, we have been looking at ‘What Is The Bible?’ both from the perspective of how to use it, why it is important to Christians and what you might find in it.

We are also going to thinking about some themes that you would find in the Bible:

  • Creation

  • Chaos

  • Sin

  • Hope

For each of the words above, you need to do the following (either in your book, or using a computer)

  • What does the word mean (definition from the dictionary)

  • When you read/hear this word, what does it make you think of and why?

  • Find some current news stories/films/TV shows that are connected to each word. Explain why they are connected (e.g. “In the film… the word creation is seen when…)

  • For each of the words, draw or print off a number of pictures and create a display. Try to find quotes from the Bible connected to each word and add these to your display. A good website to use would be https://www.biblegateway.com/ as you can type in the word and see what comes up.

PE

Keeping yourself active during the school closure is very important for both your physical and mental health

This could be as simple as going for a walk/ run/ bike ride

If however you want to do something different why don’t you try and complete the Debenham High School Fitness Bingo Card

You could do this on your own or make it a fun, family activity

How it works:

  • - Start off with the bronze coloured card
  • - Pick a line and then try and cross off each square over the course of the day- this could be in one go or at different times throughout the day
  • - Once you have crossed off all the lines on the bronze card, move to the silver and then the gold cards.
  • - As you move up the different coloured cards, you will notice that they get more physically challenging
  • - If you find this too hard, you can always keep on the coloured card that best suits your fitness level
  • - You could also think about changing the number of certain movement to make it more suited to you- your parent/ carer might be able to help with this
  • - Most of the exercises require no equipment but if you don’t have a skipping rope or something that you can step on to, choose a different exercise

Circuit Training
